TWHM Principle
Our History & Vision
Rooted in Purpose,
Growing with Hope
Founded in 2008, The TWHM — Travailing Women and Helping Men — was born from a conviction that communities across Africa deserved better access to education, dignity, and opportunity.
Over more than 17 years, we channelled that conviction into action: funding and building schools in Uganda, Kenya, and The Gambia, giving thousands of children a classroom, a teacher, and a future.
Today, our urgent focus has shifted to the streets of Accra, Ghana, where vulnerable families and individuals face daily hunger. We are on the ground providing hot, nutritious meals — one plate, one person, one day at a time.
Our future vision: building an Emergency Medical Fund to cover hospital fees for the vulnerable — because no one should die because they cannot afford care.
